My favorite things about my kids
My favorite
things about my kids
(Hi, I'm Dr.

Cracking
backs, chiropractic
adjustments, y-strap
treatments – few things in life give me greater pleasure than helping
people in pain. But one of those things is spending time with my incredible
family. They bring me so much joy that I thought maybe you guys would like to
hear about why they’re so amazing! I could write an entire encyclopedia about
my supportive, caring wife, so for now, in this blog post, I think I’ll
just focus on my kids (who don’t get the limelight often enough): Evalyn – my
sweet little baby girl, and Angelo – my firstborn, incredible son. And as
you’ll see, even though they’re both so young, it’s really quite remarkable
seeing them interact together, too.
Oh, sweet
little Evalyn. She’s only a few months old right now – so tiny and innocent,
but her personality is already shining through! She’ll always be my
little baby girl. I’ve gotta tell you, after a long day of giving people back relief at my
chiropractic clinic, there’s nothing quite like coming home and watching
Evalyn get super excited to see me. It’s so sweet how she won’t take her
eyes off me until I pick her up. Maybe it’s the beard?
And I guess
without the beard, people say I look at lot like Angelo. There’s really
something truly special about your firstborn that obviously, only other parents
can understand. He’s a bit older now, so we get to do fun guy stuff together,
like watching TV and drinking beer (kidding about the second one!). Plus, his
imagination is just unbelievable – I can tell just from watching him play with
his Hot Wheels that he’s going to be a very creative soul. And like Evalyn, Angelo
also has a sweet tradition when I get home from some serious
back cracks at work: He’ll grab my hand to pull me around the house and sit
down and play toys with him. So sweet!
Funny that both of my kids already have this after-work tradition, right? I wonder what else they’ll have in common as they get older together. Evalyn is too young to really get a read from her, but I do love the way she gazes at her brother. Angelo, on the other hand, clearly loves his sister. He’s always curious about what she’s up to. Certainly, there are no guarantees in life, but I do get the feeling that, as they grow up, these two are going to be really good friends, and that warms my heart, and my back.
